Susannah holds a BA Humanities degree with majors in Psychology and Sociology and in 2008, she completed her Honours degree in Sociology, both obtained from the University of Stellenbosch. She is optimistic about continuing her studies in the field of development and is now completing a Masters in Social Justice at the University of Cape Town. Susannah has a deep-seated interest in people and thrives on circumstances that allow her to interact and communicate with others. Her involvement in community development initiatives, while studying, has assured that her passion lies in a genuine commitment to the ethos of community development - building and driving sustainable forms of human and social capital, thus empowering those at a grass-roots level. Over a two year period, Susannah worked as a mentor and tutor for first year psychology students and as a volunteer for the NGO, People Against Suffering Suppression Oppression and Poverty (PASSOP). Susannah has also completed an accredited lifeskills facilitation programme, offered by the Umsobomvu Youth Fund and has obtained her level 5 NQF in lifeskills.At DEVELOPMENT WORKS she is employed as a researcher. |
