In order for a body like the Technical Assistance Unit (TAU) of National Treasury to function effectively, its staff and consultants have to have a sound knowledge of the workings of the unit.

That is why TAU contracted CREATIVE CONSULTING & DEVELOPMENT WORKS in 2009 to assist with the production of toolkits, which will inform and act as a resource for TAU advisors.

TAU provides programme and project management technical assistance to government initiatives with the aim of improving the quality of spend in the public sector. The purpose of the toolkits is to ensure consistent methods when intervening within the client system.

TAU staff wrote the toolkits and CREATIVE CONSULTING & DEVELOPMENT WORKS finalised it in terms of editing, typesetting, design and proofreading, drawing on experience in development communications.

Seven toolkits were edited, proofread, typeset and designed. They are:
