Project name: Parliamentary Promotional Items
Client: Parliament
Project duration: 2003 – 2005
Service: media, publicity, promotions

CREATIVE CONSULTING & DEVELOPMENT WORKS has had a long-standing relationship with Parliament. In the years following its inception, DEVELOPMENT WORKS has been contracted by Parliament to provide promotional products for the various conferences and events hosted by them.

One such conference was the United Nations (UN) Energy Conference that took place in October 2005. Other conferences held were the Women’s Conference and the Housing and Sustainability Conferences. In sourcing the Parliamentary items for the contracts awarded, CREATIVE CONSULTING & DEVELOPMENT WORKS set out to showcase the work of local community development initiatives. This contributed to local economic development in that it provided opportunities for these initiatives to generate a sizeable income.

Some of these organisations include Kidz Positive (which made beaded pens for delegates) and Streetwire (which provided mini-windmills for delegates at the UN Energy Conference. Other recipients of the promotional items include the Library of Parliament and the Human Resource Department of Parliament during wellness week. The promotional items included the following:

•    laptop bags

•    wire windmills

•    banners

•    beaded pens

•    golf shirts

•    t-shirts
